John Moore
Horse Creek Tree Farms, Galena, MO

A career educator, John Moore served as president of Drury University in Springfield for 22 years before retiring in 2005. He didn't stop working however, and as one of the original founders of the Upper White River Basin Foundation (Ozarks Water Watch) served as executive director/president until he retired again in late 2010.

In retirement he makes his home at Horse Creek Farm on the James River near Galena, MO. where he gardens, tends his orchard and bees, hunts and fishes regularly, and stays busy with conservation and water quality issues. He also continues to be engaged with community and civic projects in Springfield, his home before retirement.
